How Sikhs arrived
Many of Belgium’s Sikhs came from the 1980s to work in the fruit orchards of Limburg, around Sint-Truiden, which is still the heart of the community.
Belgium remembers the Sikh soldiers who fought at Ypres in the First World War, and Gurdwaras now stand in Limburg, Flanders and Liège.
