Sikhs in Japan
How Sikhs arrived
Sikh traders settled in Yokohama and Kobe in the early 1900s, and Kobe’s Guru Nanak Darbar was for many years the only Gurdwara in Japan.
Today a second Gurdwara in Tokyo serves a small sangat of Punjabi, Indian and Japanese families.
